Organic Cotton Clothing: Leading A Return To The Trouble-Free Life
If you wish to do away with harmful things from your everyday life, you should consider making the change to putting on only organic cotton clothes. Cotton is famous for its ability to wrinkle if you do so much as look at it wrong. Cotton that does this will not be treated with a chemical substance called Formaldehyde. Formaldehyde bonds with the natural ingredients of cotton, which helps to prevent it from wrinkling. Most cottons are now treated with this chemical substance in order to lower the amount of work it takes to have cotton clothing.
Besides Formaldehyde, just as if wearing that cancer-causing agent was not harmful enough, the methods that non organic cotton goes through does a number on our environment. Non organic cotton is actually grown with a list of manures and pesticides used to preserve and promote growth of these plants. However, these manures and chemical pesticides wash down out of the fields and straight into the ecosystems.

The challenge with organic cotton clothing is always that not enough people have demanded it. Although the movement is picking up, only when people demand high quality, organic cotton clothing, will the mass producers of chemically boosted clothes lower. Only when these non organic producers change their methods of growing as well as treating cotton, will the influence of the damage caused to the environment be lessened.
When you own organic cotton clothing, you really need to make sure that you are only using natural washing products with your cotton clothing. Cotton can bond with many substances and hold residue in the fiber of the threads. When using natural cleaning products, you will know that you will not be wearing any additional chemical substances.
The average person consumes a great deal of non natural chemicals on a daily basis, so removing exposure to such chemicals as often as you can is important for protecting against cancer and maintaining the environment.
Putting on organic cotton clothing is only your first step. From your clothes, you can adjust to eating organic foods and using natural cleaning products in efforts of living a green lifestyle.
Just remember, eating organic foods does not give any additional health benefits from eating other vegetables. You only lower the amount of trace chemical substances introduced into your system as well as protect against excess chemicals from being dumped into the environment.
